Despite facing a series of bans and regulatory obligations, Huawei goes unstoppable with its Smartphone launches. Twenty days earlier, it has debuted “Mate 20 Pro” as flagship and now, it’s up again with an upper-middle-class segment device, Nova 4.
Succeeding Nova 3 and 3i, Nova 4 is expected to bring a high-end camera as its niche against its peers. And it did. Let’s check:-
Huawei Nova 4 Launched with 48MP Rear Camera
In today’s event in China, Nova 4 was just unveiled by Huawei in two variants with different price tags.
Its sports a full-length display model resembling Infinity-O of Galaxy A8s, so having the selfie shooter punched into the display.
The front camera is hole-punched in the top left corner of the display with 25MP HDR capability. And the rear camera capabilities are what differentiates the two Nova 4 models.
High end variant with 48MP(f/1.8) + 16MP(f/2.2) + 2MP(f/2.4) and low end variant with 20MP + 16MP + 2MP with same apertures.
Bearing 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM, storage can be expanded upto 512GB with an SD card.
Nova 4 dispatches with EMUI 9.0 over Android 9.0 and runs on HiSilicon Kirin 970 (10nm) processor, it is added with Mali G72-MP12 GPU for high-end processing of works and games.
The display features a notch-less 6.4″ screen with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 1080×2310p resolution.
Rear mounted fingerprint with built-in accelerometer, compass and proximity sensors, Nova 4 bears a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support (18W).
Other connections include dual-band WiFi, GLONASS A-GPS, LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
Coming in three colours of Aurora Red, White, Black and Blue, Nova 4 bears a price tag of 3,399 Yuan ($450) for 48MP variant and 3,099 Yuan ($493) for the 20MP variant. Opened to Pre-orders in China and expected sale is from 27th December. Hope it wouldn’t take much time to hit the rest markets.
