Reliance Industries has announced the JioPhone 2 at an event of its 41st Annual General Meeting that was held today. JioPhone 2 is the second-generation phone and the successor to JioPhone launched by the Reliance Industries earlier. JioPhone got record-breaking success in the market.

JioPhone 2 is expected to be very pocket-friendly in terms of its pricing. Talking about the specifications of this phone, it comes with many new additions and improvements. One of the main attraction of JioPhone 2 is its QWERTY Keypad which somehow gives it a look of old blackberry devices.
JioPhone 2 has a price tag of Rs 2,999 and will be a sale in India from 15 August. The company has come up with an exchange offer under Monsoon’s Hungama Offer in which users can exchange JioPhone 2 with the JioPhone at just Rs 500.
Moreover, it has a voice command button to access the ‘Hello Jio Assistance’ and a 4-way navigation key just like its predecessor JioPhone. These features make this phone stand out among other devices and give tough competition to other companies like Micromax, Nokia, and Samsung.
JioPhone 2 is packed with a 2.4-inch QVGA (320×240) display and has a memory chipset of 512MB RAM along with internal storage of 4GB that can be expandable up to 128GB. Talking about its camera, this phone features a 2MP camera on the back and 0.3MP camera on the front.
JioPhone 2 has a 2,000mAh battery, which is a massive battery in such a price range. The device supports FM radio and runs Kaios. JioPhone 2 comes with pre-installed Facebook, WhatsApp, and Youtube along with various other Jio apps. This phone also has a support for 24 natives Indian languages.
JioPhone 2 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It comes with an NFC chip to facilitate mobile payments. The device also supports VoLTE, LTE Cat4, and 2G.
