The Government of India has again banned 118 new Chinese apps including one of the most popular and controversial apps PUBG. The ban is being imposed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009. The Government claims the apps to be “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity” of the country.
