With the hashtag of #48MPForEveryone, Manu Kumar Jain (Redmi India’s CEO) is leading a popular campaign on Twitter since Redmi Note 7’s launch. Following Note 7, K20 Pro, the new phone into 48MP club and an exclusive Android one series are the new Mi A3!
Mi A3 was launched in China last month and made its way to India today. With two storage options, three color options and upgrades in almost all the specs, Mi A3 looks a qualitative successor of Mi A2 which was launched last year.
Specifications of Mi A3:
The Mi A3 has a 6.01″ (720×1560) AMOLED display with dot notch and an 80% screen to body ratio. This resolution is a downgraded one when compared with last year’s Mi A2, as it’s 5.99″ display has a better resolution of 1080×2160.
This phone runs on Snapdragon’s 665 SoC, making it the second one to be using that new chip. With Adreno’s 610, Mi A3 has no MIUI OS bloatware and will be using Android One’s pure Android version of 9 Pie.
Has storage variants of either 4GB/64GB or 6GB/128GB. While the previous Mi A2 has no MicroSD slot for expansion, this latest development has the option for adding storage via MicroSD up to 256GB.
With 32MP (f/2.2) front camera, it has a triple rear setup of 48MP (f/1.8) Sony’s IMX primary sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angular, and a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. This new handset is bringing back the 3.5mm audio jack which was ditched by its predecessor.
With the fingerprint sensor given under display, it has WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, infrared port, USB 2.0 Type-C, etc. Has a 4030mAh battery with 18W support for quick charging.
