Realme, the once Oppo’s subsidiary and now a standalone company is on full swing in India. The Chinese vendor has grabbed a 9% market share (from the latest reports) within a year of its launch in the Indian market. Since then, it has garnered millions of units to the market with cut-throat pricing against its specs.
Realme 5 and 5 Pro’s Major Specifications Leaked Ahead of Official Launch
On August 20th, the company is all set to launch the next level of series, named “Realme 5 Series” at noon. In that, the company would be officially showing up Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro variants to the global audience.
From all the sites like Geekbench, Flipkart, Twitter, etc, it’s now well known of specifications for the new handsets even before the official launch. From Twitter’s handle of realme and Madhav Seth (Realme India CEO), it’s known that the phones would be sporting a Quad rear camera setup with the highest pixels available in today’s market. And will be processed by Qualcomm’s latest powerful chipset and be priced under Rs.10,000.
This hints us the confirm the processor to be Snapdragon’s 665, which was newly launched and as seen as sported by Realme 5 in Geekbench listing. Further, it shall be sporting a 48MP camera out of those four lenses and shall be having a huge 5000mAh battery (as shown in Flipkart). All the four sensors will be of Primary, Ultra-wide, Super Macro and Portrait lens. While the primary is fixed to be a 48MP one, the ultra-wide sensor can record 119° field-of-view images and Super Macro would be a “4cm microscopic focal length“.
While that being said for standard 5 variants, the 5 Pro shall have the same quad cameras with Sony’s IMX586 48MP primary sensor and rest three being the same. Further, this Pro variant shall be supporting Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 super-fast charging support and may sport Snapdragon’s 712 SoC. With that details being leaked to date, we’ll get to know more on August 20th, 12:30 PM at the official launch.
