    Sony Annouced its Xperia L4 with Triple Rear Cameras & Helio Chipset

    One of the leading tech giants, Sony the Japanese manufacturing company has unveiled its new smartphone for the year 2020!

    This time Sony has gone with an entry-level setup and the new phone “Xperia L4” comes in the entry-level smartphone market!

    Before Sony did make a plan to unveil Xperia L4 in MWC 2020 but as the show got cancelled due to a severe outbreak of Coronavirus; Sony had to postpone its release.

    In short, if we talk about the new phone; Xperia L4 is the upper variant from their last year’s phone Xperia L3.

    Here are in-depth specs and features about the new Xperia L4 by Sony.

    Although, Xperia L4 is more concentrated on the entry-level and lower budget market, so the specs and underhood hardware is kept according to that only!

    Screen

    Xperia L4 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen with an LCD cum IPS display support. The resolution for the screen is 1680×720. The phone doesn’t come with an AMOLED screen which makes it come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

    Xperia L4 comes in with a screen to body ratio of 85.1%. The aspect ratio of the phone is 21:9 ratio.

    Battery

    Xperia L4 is pack in with a battery of 3,580mAh battery and this huge battery will be supported with fast charging technology with Sony’s Adaptive technology which helps to prevent excess load on the battery.

    Camera

    Xperia L4 will come with a triple camera setup! Xperia L4 is also the first phone from Sony’s L series to come with the Triple camera setup!

    The primary sensor is 13 MP with an aperture of f 2.0, then comes the secondary sensor 5 MP with an aperture of f2.2 which is an ultrawide camera.

    At last, comes with 2 MP depth sensor for enhanced portrait shots.

    On the front side, we will get to see an 8MP camera for selfies.

    The front camera is placed in as the waterdrop notch, which appears to be bigger than what we usually see these days in modern smartphones.

    Processor and other special features

    Xperia L4 is powered with a decent chipset from MediaTek named “MediaTek Helio P22 processor

    The chipset is supported with a 3 GB of Ram and internal storage of 64 GB. You also get the option to expand it till 512 GB with the help of a Micro SD Card. Xperia L4 is said to come with Android Pie out of the box.

    With this, Xperia L4 is till coming with their traditional headphone jack as well!

    Available Colours

    Xperia L4 is said to come in two colour variants:

    • Black and
    • Blue.

    Although; for now, there is no exact confirmation revealed regarding the pricing for the phone!

    When the phone will be Launched?

    Sony has stated that it will soon launch the phone into the market during the spring of 2020.
