The Android phone needs to be turned on, signed in to a Google Account and Connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi. It should be Visible in Google play. Location and ‘find my device’ should be turned on the device (the find my device feature is enabled by default on Android KitKat and above) All that is to be done now is to say “Ok, Google, find/ring my phone”. The phone will ring.

For iPhone users, the device needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Users need to add their phone number to their Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/privacy. Say “Ok, Google find/ring my device” and you can listen to your device ringing.  However, if your device is set to silent or isn’t connected to the internet, your Google assistant will not ring your phone.

The Find My Location will help the users to know the last location of their phone with the help of Google Maps Location. It is possible even if the Phone is not connected to the internet.

Users can also get to know their battery level on their device. It will also tell the last connected Wi-Fi point. This will help the users to determine the location of their device easily and perform actions like ring and lock.
