World’s Favourite Music App Spotify Finally Coming To India
The CEO Daniel Ek told investors that Spotify which is the world’s largest music streaming company is going to be launched in India. He did not provide much details about the launch of Spotify in India. But, it is confirmed that this company is interested entering the Indian market. It has also leased office space in India, which further confirms this news.
Daniel Ek has clearly shown his interest in India by saying “We are working on launching in some of the biggest markets in the world, places like India, Russia, and Africa which has a very rich musical culture” on Spotify’s Investor Day. The company has also appointed Akshat Harbola and ex-Google Employ as its Head of the Market Operations in India.
Spotify helps to make instant access to all music possible, you can start playing Spotify tracks almost straight away, without waiting for the song to buffer. We can create our own mixtapes of favourite tracks dedicated to the certain theme, era, genre, artist or whatever you want.
We can save different tracks to our phones and listen to them in offline mode without huge data charges. Also, Spotify allows us to share links, publish playlists to our public Spotify profile.
Right now, this music giant is focusing on growth rather than making profits. The high awareness of this brand in India will help the company to achieve that goal.
The launch of Spotify in India will give tough competition to Amazon Music, Google Music, Apple Music and platforms like Gaana, Saavn, Wynk, Jio music and Soundcloud.
