Yes, you heard it right. Google has officially announced that Gmail can now work in offline mode as well. This means that Gmail users can now read, compose and reply to messages without being online.
The Gmail offline service is only accessible to users who access Gmail through chrome. People who don’t use Gmail on chrome can download the web browser in order to get Gmail offline mode. Also, users need to update their Gmail to the new version. This offline mode is not available for the old version.
Users can activate Gmail in offline mode by following these steps:
- Login to your Gmail account.
- Click on the settings option.
- A setting menu option will appear, click on it.
- Select the ‘offline’ option from the menu.
- A box will appear alongside the ‘offline’ option.
- Click on ‘enable offline mail’.
- You are good to go.

Users can know how much storage they are using through storage section. Sync settings enable users to store or delete emails. Users can decide whether to keep or delete offline data on your computer.
