In this article, we’ll talk about gaming equipment that has no direct connection with playing games per se but has to do with the consequences that this activity can cause to a body, i.e. spine. In other words, we’ll talk about the Vertagear SL5000 Gaming Chair. The materials used on it are of the highest quality, it accommodates larger users in a way that few other gaming seats can, and it actively corrects your posture.
In 2015, several furniture experts, hardware designers, and gamers joined together to form Vertagear. They’ve progressively built a name for themselves in the gaming chair market since then. They also entered the eSports world by forming partnerships with two organizations three years upon the inception: Method and Misfits Gaming. So indirectly, Vertagear is present in sports betting given that eSports is popular at top online bookmakers, with many of them being on the link. The Vertagear SL5000 is the top in their S-Line range. The company claims that the SL5000 will find the sweet spot for serious gamers, combining the ergonomic ideas of furniture designers with the observations of gamers. To evaluate if the Vertagear SL5000 was worth it, we put it to the test.

How to Assemble the Chair
As long as you follow the manual, putting together the Vertagear SL5000 is simple. The provided instructions are well-organized and straightforward. One thing to keep in mind is that the SL5000’s assembly differs somewhat from that of many other gaming chairs. This isn’t necessarily a negative thing; just make sure you read the manual well before getting started.
We don’t have any personal experience with this…
Advantages of the Vertagear SL5000 Gaming Chair
When you first see the Vertagear SL5000, you might assume it’s not the comfiest chair in the world. You’d be surprised, though. The SL5000 is really comfortable, even though it lacks the large plushy cushioning found in some other gaming chairs. We had no trouble sitting on the chair throughout the day, whether it was for business or for long gaming sessions.
PUC Fake Leather Exterior
The chair’s exterior is composed of PUC fake leather. PUC isn’t something that many people are used to witnessing. The majority of businesses will utilize PVC or PU leather for their chairs. Both are excellent choices, but the PUC is the SL5000’s surprise high point. It has the softness of genuine leather yet appears to be able to withstand wear and tear over time. The Vertagear SL5000 midnight blue model, which also includes HygennX, was put to the test. Coffee-infused fiber and silver lining embroidery are utilized to make this material. That’s a fancy way of stating it breathes very well while simultaneously battling microorganisms from sweaty gaming sessions.
Correcting Bad Posture
Perhaps the most important benefit of the Vertagear SL5000 is that it will correct your bad posture. Many gaming seats are designed for comfort first, with no consideration for long-term health impacts. Vertagear concentrated on how to sit properly. That isn’t to say the chair isn’t comfy; we just mentioned that it is, but the lumbar support and head pillow will undoubtedly reposition your curved spine.
The Possibility of LED Upgrades
The RGB/LED upgrades are a great little bonus, however, they are sold individually. If you want to go full gamer, you may get an upgrade kit that will add wirelessly controlled LED lighting to your chair. It can even be linked to the audio of your game or music.
Disadvantages of the Vertagear SL5000 Gaming Chair
This chair has its cons but they aren’t so big.
Stiffness
To be honest, the Vertagear SL5000 is a rigid device. It’s not the kind of chair where you sink in and feel like you’re being hugged. If that’s what you’re after, this might not be the chair for you. That’s purely a matter of personal preference.
We had no problems with it, but it took some getting used to, particularly the relatively huge lumbar support pillow.
It Gathers Dust
Another problem we found was that the cloth had a tendency to gather dust and filth. It’s possible that this is only a problem with the midnight blue variant with the HygennX.
However, we discovered that we had to use the lint brush a few times to keep it looking its best.
Epilogue
The Vertagear SL5000 gaming chair is, in one word, great. It’s an excellent office chair. It’s an excellent chair for doing everything you need to do at your workstation. The materials used are of the highest quality, it accommodates larger users in a way that few other gaming seats can, and it actively corrects your posture.
Will it be the comfiest chair for the first few days? No. However, if you acquire a sense of what Vertagear is attempting to achieve and become comfortable with it, the SL5000 is a fantastic option.
