Facebook Introduces A Tool To Remove Third-Party Apps From Your Account
Facebook has recently added a tool to remove third-party apps from Facebook accounts. This will stop various apps to access any personal information of the users through the social networking site. Facebook is leaving no stone unturned to protect its users from any data breach, in light of the backlash that the social networking giant is receiving from all over the world.
All that users need to protect their Facebook account from multiple apps is to follow these steps:
- Log in to the Facebook Account.
- Move the pointer over the down arrow adjacent to the icon ‘Quick Help(?)’. Click on it.
- The drop-down menu will appear.
- Click on ‘settings’.
- Click on ‘Apps’.
- All the apps that access user’s data will appear on the settings panel.
- Select and remove apps accordingly.
- Save the settings.
For a mobile device, go to ‘account settings’ then ‘Apps’. Then click on the option ‘Logged in with Facebook’. The list of all the apps that are using user’s data will appear. Select and remove the apps accordingly. All the posts that are made by apps that users remove, will also be deleted from your timeline by Facebook.
Moreover, Facebook will automatically remove all those apps that user hasn’t used in over three months. This new tool will definitely help users to protect their data from multiple apps.
