Motorola has announced that the company is planning to launch an Android Go version of the previously launched smartphone E5 Play. The E5 Play was launched a few months ago along with the E5 Plus. The company is planning to expand the E5 range of smartphone with the upcoming Go version.
First Motorola Android Go Smartphone To Be Launched Soon
It is to be noted that the Android Go is the downsized version of the Android 8.1 software. The Android Go Smartphone will be packed with some pre-installed applications. These apps were optimized specifically for the Android Go software. This software consumes lesser memory than any other version of Android. Motorola has downsized the apps to ensure that these apps don’t cover much space.
The Android Go Smartphone features quite a bigger display that the E5 Play. It will have 5.3-inch display along with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
According to experts, the Android Go version of E5 Play will support 1GB of RAM, as this is the maximum RAM that an Android Go smartphone can carry. Moreover, E5 Play features as little RAM as 2GB, so, it will be illogical to add more RAM in the downsized version of E5 Play. The Android Go smartphone will also feature an 8GB of ROM.
The Android Go version of E5 Play is similar to the phone itself in all the remaining aspects. The smartphone features an 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera at the front. It is also expected that Motorola will add a fingerprint scanner to the phone. the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of the phone, below the Motorola logo.
The company has not revealed the pricing details yet, but the Android Go version of E5 Play is expected to have a price tag of somewhere around $128 and will be available in the markets from July for sale. The cheap rates of this smartphone will definitely attract a good set of customers.
Due to cheap prices and their support of numerous apps, Android Go smartphones are gaining a lot of popularity among masses. It will be interesting to see how much success the Android version of E5 Play gets.
