Google announced the affordable Pixel phones (3a & 3a XL) in their I/O meet
Pixel 3a and 3a XL
These Pixel handsets are listed on geekbench in February this year, which gave us few clues of how those could be. And now, there’s a complete revelation. Let’s check out.
Pixel 3a has a 5.7″(1080×2220) OLED display with fine bezels and the 3a XL has a 6″ (1080×2160) display. Both are protected with Dragontrail Glass.
Network connectivity includes a single slot for physical SIM card and an option for eSIM (only Jio and Airtel for now).
Both 3a and 3a XL share similar resources in terms of chipset, cameras, and storage (at least in Indian models).
3a and 3a XL are processed by Snapdragon’s 670 SoC and Adreno’s 615 GPU. With 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, these handsets have a single rear camera of 13MP (f/1.8) and a single front camera of 8MP (f/2.0).
With the rear fingerprint sensor, they have aptX audio, USB 2.0 (Type-C), Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, etc. These latest handsets shall come with Android 9 Pie out of the box and are first in the line of devices receiving Android Q when released.
Weighing a mere 20g more than 3a, Pixel 3a XL is powered by a 3700mAh (18W) battery and the 3a is with 3000mAh (18W) battery.
Pricing and Availability:
Maybe, the company is considering the band value very much in pricing their products. Regardless of the competition, Pixel 3a is priced at Rs.39,999 and Pixel 3a XL is priced at Rs.44,999.
Users would get 3-month YouTube music Premium and unlimited storage access to Google Drive.
These phones would come in Black and White colors and will be sold through Flipkart from May 15th onwards. Pre-bookings have started already – http://bit.ly/2JrYuFo
