Mukesh Ambani, the MD of India’s most profitable business, Reliance Industries, is all set to make another revolution in the country after Jio. His plans of launching JioFiber would now disrupt several sectors like TVs, DTH, Broadband, VR/MR Gaming, Voice Calling, etc. All he did was just announcing the date and some sneak peeks.

On the even of 42nd AGM of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani has revealed the dates of JioFiber’s commercial launch and brief details of the offer.

Here are they:

Currently running as a preview offer, JioFiber has been in the homes of 15million customers for now. The commercial launch of JioFiber is setup for September 5th, the third anniversary of Jio. There will be a launch plan 

Fixed-line voice calling (Landline):

Under this, you can avail of landline services with a new jio fixed line number. Not necessarily having the landline phone, you can avail of these free voice calling even with your smartphone by installing the “Jio 4G Voice” app. Further, Jio has reduced the international voice call tariffs too. Now users can avail calls to US and Canada for flat Rs.500/month.


There would be plenty of channels coming in with Jio’s DTH. Jio even decided to offer some premium subscriptions from Hotstar, Netflix, AltBalaji, etc.

Plans of this bundle would start from Rs.700 to up to Rs.10,000. And the speeds would be from 100mbps to 1Gbps, suiting all types of individuals and enterprises.

Jio First-Day-First-Show!

Premium Jio Fiber customers will be able to watch movies in their living rooms the same day these movies released in theatres. This would be happening from mid-2020 onwards.

Aside from these, Jio’s annual plan, “Jio Forever” would get customers a free HD or 4K LED TV with a setup box. This would go with a definitive security deposit.

Besides these Jio’s seen taking two big steps of partnering with Microsoft and entering into Blockchain space. The Infocomm has revealed its 10-year strategic partnership that would provide solutions like connectivity, storage, computing, applications and other solutions for small businesses.

Further, Ambani has decided to set up an own Blockchain with thousands of nodes too.
