The just-released Y7 Pro (on 31st December ’18) currently seems okay in the Y series but now Y9 may take up the charge to boost it up.
Huawei Teased Its New 2019 Model Y9 after Launching Y7 Pro
Y7 Pro sports a 6.26″ display with 4000mAh battery under the hood. Processed by Snapdragon’s 450 chipsets, it has only one variant of 3GB + 32GB. Running on 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top. Y7 Pro has the dual rear camera of 13MP + 2MP and a front shooter of 16MP. Released in Vietnam for VND 3.9million and is not available for India at present.
But now, Y9 is teased by Huawei on Amazon as the latest, though it was announced a way back in November 2018. Let’s see what’s it got:
Specs of Huawei Y9 (2019):
It’s a 6.5″ FHD+ display with 1080×2340 resolution. It is processed by HiSilicon Kirin 710 (12nm) processor and joins with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. Similar to Y7 Pro, Y9 too runs with its proprietary bloatware EMUI 8.2 over Oreo 8.1.
Y9 has one variant of 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Cameras include the rear setup of the 16MP primary lens with 2.0 aperture and a 2MP secondary lens of 2.4 aperture. Interestingly, the front camera too sports the dual lens of 13MP (f/1.8) and 2MP (f/2.4).
Other options include rear-mounted fingerprint along with face-unlock feature, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS-GLONASS, USB 2.0, dual VoLTE and several sensors.
As there is no active sale yet, Amazon currently has just put up the ‘Notify Me‘ option live. And by citing the capabilities, analysts estimated the price could be around INR 15000.
Besides Y9 and Y7 Pro, Huawei has slashed down the prices of its latest flagship and other mid-range variants on Amazon.
P20 Pro (6GB+128GB) is down to INR 54,999, Nova 3 (6GB+128GB) for INR 29,999, P20 Lite (4GB+64GB) for INR 14,999 etc.
