The OnePlus 6 purportedly scored an overall score of 276,510 on the AnTuTu benchmark test – a significant step-up from the previous flagship from the company, OnePlus 5T, which scored 212,558.
If the leaked benchmark score is accurate, OnePlus 6 will be faster than the Samsung Galaxy S9, which clocked-in at 241,470 in the AnTuTu test.
OnePlus 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset which is the Snapdragon 845 processor that is an eight-core, confirmed the company.
OnePlus CEO and Founder Pete Lau said in an official statement that the company was striving to make the OnePlus 6 a really fast smartphone for the user. “To make this experience a reality we have established within our ranks a special R&D unit, called Team FST (Fast, Stable, Efficient). The one goal of this unit is to ensure that we can transcend the current norm with providing our users with what we believe to be a truly ‘burden less’ user experience,” he further added.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has admitted that the OnePlus 6 will have a screen with a notch, angering cut-out haters everywhere. The notch will measure exactly 19.62 x 7.69 mm. That makes it larger than the essential Phone’s but smaller than the iPhone X’s.
The OnePlus 6 is likely to have at least one version with a woodgrain finish on the back, which is a pretty unique look.
OnePlus 6 will come with 256GB storage option, a first for the brand, which will be coupled with 8GB of on-board RAM.
