As we just mentioned in our previous post about the “Cancelling of the world’s biggest phone launch event MWC 2020” Due to the severe outbreak of coronavirus. Before tech giants like Amazon, Sony, ZTE announced that they won’t be appearing for the MWC 2020 event as well.
As Like these giant tech companies other most tech companies are having to change their plans and are focusing to make alternate arrangements to launch their all-new smartphones and next-gen technologies. We also mentioned in our previous post that, one of the Chinese phone brands “Xiaomi” is one among the companies who have already postponed the global launch of its Mi Note 10 flagship which was dated on 23rd of February in 2020 and now, its rival company Realme has also planned to shift the release for their flagship Realme X50 Pro 5G as well!
Realme officially has announced that they will be changing the venue for the launch of the upcoming flagship phone. If you are unaware, the Realme X50 Pro 5G was originally scheduled to launch at the MWC event in 2020. Now Realme has confirmed that their flagship phone, now is launched on the 24th of February in 2020 in Madrid instead of Barcelona.
Now, the phone is set to launch in the form of an online event, this approach was taken to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus outbreak.
Here is the full press statement on the change from Realme:
“Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, realme has been concerned about the effects and working on alternatives of all possible situations, including having planned our event undertaken by our European team based in Spain without any staff from China. Keeping it light with the impact of the virus and the cancellation of MWC 2020, realme has decided to cancel the participation at MWC Barcelona 2020, accordingly.”
The Indian CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth, will be one of the attendees at the Madrid event and lay out the company’s future AIoT plans.
He may also talk about the most anticipated “The Realme TV”, which was also scheduled to launch at the MWC event in 2020.

Realme confirmed its official word to a creator from Beebom with PR Director for Realme India, Wenhan Shen, tweeted that details about the Madrid event will be announced very soon. As like Realme few other companies may also reschedule their launch events! More focus is given to Huawei this time!
