Samsung just unveiled its awaited niche featured model Galaxy A8s with infinity-O tech. Others like Honor View 20 and Huawei Nova 4 are stepping into this infinity displays and punch-hole cameras within, soon.

Display
The one which differentiates it from others! Bezel-less infinity-O display with a resolution of 1080×2340p for a 6.4″ screen. Samsung didn’t stress much on its AMOLED display and resolution, just to showcase its competitive edge, the infinity-O.
Camera
- Triple rear cameras with 24MP(f/1.7), 10MP(f/2.4) telephoto lens and a 5MP((f/2.2) as a depth sensor. The front camera is punch-holed into the display with 24MP(f/2.0) and HDR.
- The selfie shooter is of 6.7mm wide for the 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen. The fingerprint is at rear center positioned with cameras set up in a vertical format.
Chipset
An octa-core with DR40 DR4Th 2x for 2.2Ghz and 6x at 1.7Ghz speeds. Adding with Adreno 616 GPU, A8s is powered by Snapdragon’s 710 built on 10nm process.
Memory
Two variants of 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB are available. Storage can be expanded upto 512GB with Micro SD card.
Software
Runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s proprietary bloat on the top. May soon get the Pie update.
Battery
A Non-removable 3400mAh battery with Type-C support for fast charging. Besides the charging pin, there are speakers and a microphone chipped in.
Sale and Price
Price isn’t being announced but expected to be somewhere between 26k-32k, considering it as a mid-range phone. Meanwhile, pre-orders starts have started and Sales may go from 21st December onwards.
A8s is like a teaser for Samsung‘s next flagship launch, the Galaxy S10. There are expectations that S10 too will be launched with the infinity-O niche.
