When everyone’s feeling great of OEMs shifting from notch obsessions to Pixel wars, this Japan-based company stands a lil different by cutting two notches on the screen.

Sharp Announced Aquos R3: A Dual-notched Phone With Snapdragon 855
The company has already made a two-notched phone last year with name Aquos R2 Compact. And now, it again shows up with the almost same design but with upgraded specs.
Introducing Sharp Aquos R3:
This phone has a 6.2″ (3120×1440) QHD+ display by IGZO and has a refresh rate of 120Gz. It supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision features.
Talking again about notches, Aquos R3 has a teardrop notch on the top which houses the front camera – a 16.3MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. At the rear, it has a dual setup of 12MP (f/1.7) as the primary sensor and a 20MP (f/2.4) as a depth sensor.
Running on Android 9 Pie, it’s processed by Snapdragon’s latest 855 SoC and Adreno’s 640 GPU. The memory includes a 6GB of RAM with 128GB of ROM with expandable options.
And finally, this phone is powered by a 3200mAh Battey with 11W Qi wireless charging support and has all the flagship features like Dolby Atmos, Stereos, AI, etc.
Besides them, it has all the required connectivities like GPS, Bluetooth, VoLTE, USB, etc.
Weighing 185gms, this phone would possess the weird notch style with one on the top (as usual) and a thick bottom notch which houses the fingerprint scanner. The maker does have the option to eliminate this additional notch by embedding the scanner under the display or at the rear, yet decides to go this way.
The company didn’t reveal the price or availability of the mobile yet. But is expected to be more than Rs.35k considering its specs.
