Not even the main man’s safe. Jack Dorsey, the co-founder, and CEO of Twitter has just got his account recovered after being hacked for a while.
A hacker group named Chuckling Squad has claimed the credits for breaching into Dorsey’s account on Friday night. This was first noticed by his followers when a series of seriously offensive and racist texts were tweeted from Dorsey’s account. A series of such twelve tweets and six retweets were done by breachers in a span of 15minutes.

Though short spanned, this incident has immediately gained attention due to Dorsey’s following of 4million and raised many eyebrows.
Just a while later, “Twitter Comms“, the official Twitter communication handle has informed everyone about the hack.
It said, “We’re aware that @jack was compromised and investigating what happened.“
Just an hour after, it secured the CEO’s account by informing, “The account is now secure, and there is no indication that Twitter’s systems have been compromised.“
Upon investigation, Twitter claims the reason for this breach is because of an unknown mobile operator (used by Jack Dorsey) fault.
As it said, “The phone number associated with the account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider. This allowed an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number. That issue is now resolved.“
As there’s a feature allowing users to be tweeting just by their phone and SMS service, offensive tweets came from Dorsey’s account was caused by breachers by gaining Dorsey’s phone service access.
After all, no one’s safe from such hard hackers. Though effective security systems exist, all they wait for is just for a chance to penetrate in. Try making your password much secure and make sure your phone numbers and email address connected to your social handles are secured.
