However, according to a fresh report, these devices could be released in 2019, with one other speaker. As per the report by “people familiar with the matter” from Bloomberg, the tech giant Apple plans to launch high-end AirPod, a new HomePod smart speaker, and over-the-hear studio-quality AirPods next year.
Over-the-hear, high-end headphones expected to be launched in 2019, is going to give tough competition to models from Sennheiser and Bose. Talking about the new AirPods, they will be water resistant and noise canceling. As per the reports, Apple is also working to increase the distance away from an iPad or an iPhone from where AirPods could function.
Apple is working day and night on HomePod’s new version as the sales of the Original HomePod were sluggish. It has also been reported that the company is not going to tie up with Inventec for the production of the new HomePod.
Moreover, there are rumors that Apple will also launch a wireless charging case along with these products. This charging case is designed for AirPods and is compatible with Apple’s AirPower wireless charger.
