Oh, you know that Samsung is the first one to unveil the foldable phone? Well, that’s just a prototype from last November. We can see the real foldable phone available in the market right now from Royole. That’s the “Royole Flexpai

Specs of Royole Flexpai:

From its Royole’s website, it is found that this device bears the model name RY1201D and has some high-tech capabilities within.

It’s processed by Snapdragon’s 855 CPU, an octa-core clocked at 2.84GHz speeds and runs with Android 9.0 with its bloatware, WaterOS on top.

The display is a 7.8″ AMOLED screen with 1920×1080p resolution.

Storage includes 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM with an expandable option through MicroSD.

Flexpai sports a 16MP + 20MP camera with flash.

Foldables seems futuristic and achieved, but this Flexpai doesn’t support 5G. Connectivity includes LTE, CDMA, and GSM. Others like A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth are within. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, barometer, and multi-axis gyroscope.

The hard specs seem fine, but they are not well performing when folded. Besides Flexpai, Royole got a folding keyboard, screen sporting hat, and a robot too at the event.

This foldable phone seems to have more disappointments than acquiring the hype. Being the first one in the industry, it may have kicked it as “first“, but is facing much criticism for its uncomfortability.

We shall look forward to the other makers like Samsung and Huawei to build it up perfectly.

While the Samsung’s foldable phone is touted as Galaxy X, it is expected to be launched alongside Galaxy S10 in the next month. But the Flexpai is already here and right available to the customers. And the ones who want to get it must shell out more than $1,300.

The price seems ridiculously high to its performance, but at least to feel the first foldable gadget, you may try.
