Huawei Mate X – Folding at its Best!
In yesterday’s MWC event, Huawei has outperformed others with its foldable phone and laptops. Out of them, the anticipated foldable phone is much dashing.
Named as “Mate X“, this foldable device from Huawei is cool and beats its counterparts in many cases. Previous industry launches like Galaxy Fold and Flexpai has a thickness of about 17mm to 20mm against the likes of Mate X, which is just 11mm when closed and 5.4mm when opened. Coming with a bigger battery of 4500mAh and 55W SuperCharge. Huawei says it can supercharge the Mate X up to 85% in just 30mins!
It sports an 8″ (24980×2200) display when unfolded and 6.6″ (2480×1148) when folded. Like Nubia X and NEX dual, Mate X too serves its panel (when folded) as a second screen.
Imaging includes a 40MP (Wide angle lens) + 16MP (Ultra Wide angle) + 8MP (Telephoto) lens. The selfie camera is housed inlined bezel.
Along with volume keys, there’s a sensor fitted aside working as a fingerprint scanner and power key.
The best thing is here – 5G! Huawei has its own 5G modem called Baolong 5000, which joins with Kirin 980 CPU to process the functions.
Storage consists of 8GB RAM and 512GB ROM and runs on Android 9 with EMUI 9.1.1.
Ootions like USB 3.1 – Type C, WiFi, Blutooth 5, NFC are available and is priced at $2600. Available in only one colour – Interstellar Blue and will begin sales from mid 2019.
When this foldable phone grabs the entire charm, Huawei has launched two laptops besides it. An upgraded version of last year’s MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 for the lower tier.
