Mi9 has a 6.4″ (1080×2280) FHD+ Super AMOLED display with about 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. It bears a dew-drop notch with a sensor embedded within. Having thin bezels, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
With FP scanner underneath, it features Reading Mode 2.0 and Sunlight Mode 2.0.

Typically, it doesn’t have a rear sporting fingerprint sensor but embedded into the display.
It is said to ship out with Android 9.0 and MIUI 10, but hey, there’s MIUI 11 coming and it’s amazing. The storage section will be a 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM. It’s unclear about 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM variant.
Imaging section –
There’s a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup with flash. The primary sensor includes a 48MP (f/1.8) lens, a secondary sensor with 16MP (f/2.2) for wide imaging and a 12MP (f/2.2) as a telephoto lens.
The triple camera setup is protected by Sapphire glass lens cover against any hard scratches.
And in front, there’s a 24MP HDR camera dipped in the notch.
Apart from equipping with high specifications, the actual notable thing is its CPU!
Mi 9 will be processed by Snapdragon’s brand new 855 CPU and Adreno’s 640 GPU. where 855 SoC houses an X50 modem and capable of 5G connectivity. It has built-in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and marked some best scores on AnTuTu benchmark.
Connectivity includes the WiFi, Bluetooth 5, A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C. It has a 3500mAh battery with 20W charging support.
From the fresh leaks ahead of launch, Mi9 is touting to introduce a new variant called Battle Angel (named after Alita), which will be having a transparent rear panel.
The company says it would be best compatible for Gamers, as the Adreno 640 GPU with Game Turbo takes responsibility of cooling and providing a smoother experience.
The device will be available in Lavender Violet/ Ocean Blue/ Piano Black, will be launched in a couple of days.
