The French manufacturer is once a big player in smart televisions in India, but after facing some tough competition from eastern players, it has gradually held itself low. But now, it comes up again with a superior product at an unbelievable price.

Introducing “Thomson’s UD9 40″ 4K Television

The company says this’s the first 4K TV in India at such lower price, and hopes to capture back the market which it has lost.

Having a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and 550nits brightness, UD9 model has HDR10 support and a 20W audio output.

Input section includes two USB ports and three HDMI ports.

The said 4K streaming is available to watch from YouTube 4K videos and this TV comes with six pre-installed apps of Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Hotstar, Facebook and Zee5, and with Miracast, it allows us to mirror the screen of our phone to TV and play on big screen.

It runs on Android 7.1 and supports nearly 20 regional languages.

In India, these TVs from Thomson are manufactured by Noida based company called Super Plantronics Pvt. LTD. It’s CEO, Avneet Singh in the launch event said “We are excited to launch India’s only 40” 4k TVs. We want Indian consumers to upgrade their TVs from Full HD to 4K at a super affordable price. I’m confident that this will set a trend in the market as consumers have started focusing on specs and better picture quality. As you know, in the past the 4k content was limited, but now it’s abundant. Therefore, this TV comes with the latest specs where consumers can access their favorite 4k YouTube content.
