Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi’s video “Despacito” has been the most watched video of all time on YouTube. We all are guilty of grooving on this song for at least once. This music video has broken all the records on YouTube by reaching 5 billion views. Well, this video has been deleted by hackers recently. The hackers who deleted this video call themselves Kuroi’sh and Prosox.
YouTube’s Vevo Account Hacked, Most Watched Video Deleted by Hackers
Kuroi’sh and Prosox altered the image of the video. The original image was replaced with an image of a masked gang from the show Casa de Papel on Netflix. The hackers also changed the description of the video. Many other videos are also defaced by them. It has also been reported that they have written “Free Palestine” below every video.
Many of the music videos of the Vevo account are affected. These videos include songs from Shakira, Chris Brown, DJ Snake, Drake, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
The real identity of the hackers is still not known. But one alleged hacker twitted on YouTube’s Twitter account. His tweet goes like “Its just for fun I just use script ‘youtube-change-title-video’ and I write ‘hacked’ don’t judge me I love youtube. It is still a mystery that exactly what kind of script was used to hack the Vevo account.
The alleged hacker Prosox messaged Vevo. “You have all my respect but do not leave the control to your site to any developer did not take into account this hacking it was a fun if we would like to harm your customers we would delete all the video but I did not delete despacito must believe me” the message reads.
People are shocked by this hack. YouTube is trying to restore the Vevo account.
