    LG launches G8s ThinQ & Stylo 5 Smartphones in the Market

    Ahead of the big W-series launch, LG has announced a midrange and a stripped variant of G8 ThinQ. The new midrange, Stylo 5 is priced at $229.

    It sports a 6.2″ FHD+ display with 3500mAh battery. There’s no clear information about the processor, but it’s expected to be Snapdragon’s 430SoC, as it is revealed to be an octa-core. Furthermore, it runs on Android 9 and has a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

    Available in colors of Blonde Rose and Platinum Gray color, it has a storage variant of 3GB/32GB.

    Remember the MWC event happened in February this year? LG has announced G8, V60, and G8s in that event, but only a few selling in today’s market. Now the company brings LG G8s into the markets with a price tag of €769 (6GB/128GB).

    Specifications include a 6.21″ (1080×2240) display with a rectangular notch. Running on Snapdragon’s 855 SoC and Adreno’s 640, G8s runs on Android 9 with LG UX 8.0.

    There’s a triple rear setup of 12MP (f/1.8) + 13MP (f/2.4) + 12MP (f/2.6) and a single 8MP f/1.9) camera upfront. With USB 3.1 Type-C, it has an 18W fast charging support for a 3550mAh battery.

    The phone is IP68 certified, has Dolby Vision, Time of Flight Z camera and Hand ID gesturing.

    Some damn things!

    • As a part of the launch, LG is offering a 43″ 4K TV along with the phone to whoever purchases it (Only in Germany)!  Damn isn’t it?
    • The said Hand ID feature is available in LG G8 too. This enables the user to perform most of the functions with hand in the air. User can take screenshots, control volumes and even unlock the phone with a wave (as this tech uses hand-vein authentication) to unlock!

    The phone is available in the colors of Mirror Black, Mirror Teal, and Mirror White. Will start selling in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East for now. May rollout to other markets soon.
