Vivo got a new one sneaking into mid-range this month. It’s Y91 is the latest budget phone with okay features and camera-centric in its segment.

Display
It’s a 6.22″ FullView HD+ display with 720×1520p resolution. It sports a dew-drop notch with very thin bezels and about 87% screen-to-body ratio.
Cameras
The one where Y91 has mainly focused. It sports a dual-rear setup of 13MP (f/2.2) as the primary sensor and 2MP (f/2.4) as a depth sensor. For the front, it got an 8MP (f/1.8) selfie shooter. The cameras are powered by AI for best portrait, slow-mo and smartly beautify the faces. The fingerprint sensor is situated at back, below cameras and comfortable. The front camera helps for face-unlocking too.
Software
It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo along with its bloatware Funtouch 4.5.
Chipset
Y91 runs on MediaTek’s Helio P22 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Battery and Storage
Has a 4030mAh battery with the smart power management system. It has only one variant of 2GB RAM and 64GB ROM, which can be further expanded to 256GB via MicroSD.
It weighs around 164grams and has connectivity features like dual-sim VoLTE, WiFi, GPS-GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB 2.0.
Coming in two colors and a gradient finishing, Y91 has Starry Black and Ocean Blue variants.
Though okay, V91 doesn’t seem that great with specs at this price tag. As it rivals like Xiaomi and Asus are blasting with super RAM, processor, and storage, Y91 may hit a hard time upon launching.
As said, it’s priced at INR 10,990 and available through Amazon India, Paytm Mall and Vivo’s mobile store (e-shop). Via Vivo’s e-shop, you can get a bundled Bluetooth earphones along.
Launching offers include Jio’s 4000 worth benefits and Airtel’s 2000 cashback with 240GB data.
