The electronics giant Xiaomi is planning to launch its Redmi 6 series smartphones on June 12 in China. Smartphones Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A will be launched under this series.
Xiaomi All Set To Launch Redmi 6, Redmi 6A On June 12
The news of the launch of Redmi was already leaked on TENAA. The model numbers M1804C3CE, M1804C3DE, and M1804C3CC, were leaked online earlier. As per the rumors, M1804C3DE is supposed to be Redmi 6 as it is packed with a fingerprint sensor and a dual camera setup. One other model is rumored to be Redmi 6A.
Xiaomi has released a poster, revealing the date of the launch of Redmi 6. This poster was released on a Chinese microblogging site. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 will be powered by Android 8.1 Oreo along with MIUI 9. This smartphone is also expected to get an update of MIUI 10 after the launch. Redmi 6 will flaunt a 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display along with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 1440 × 720 resolution of pixels.
Redmi 6 will feature an octa-core SoC(2GHz) and the device will come in three variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage.
Whereas, Redmi 6A will feature a 2GHz quad-core SoC. The smartphone will also be powered by Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box along with MIUI. Redmi 6A is expected to feature same 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display along with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 1440 × 720 resolution of pixels.
Redmi 6A will be available in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 124 GB through micro SD slot.
